Mi nombre es Jovany. Esta es la historia de la manera en que un talento especial que desarrollé me ayudó a encontrar a la mujer de mi vida y ha sido una ventaja significativa para mi en mi vida laboral y profesional. Esta historia comienza cuando regresé a casa después de haber terminado una misión de tiempo completo, decidido a estudiar, terminar una carrera y poder obtener un buen empleo, para entonces poder casarme y unirme para siempre a una maravillosa hija de Dios. Pero Él tenia planes diferentes para mi, ya que las cosas no sucedieron exactamente en ese orden. Durante mis primeras clases de instituto no conocía a ninguno de mis compañeros, pero cada vez que pasaban la lista de asistencia y yo escribía mi nombre, escuchaba una voz femenina que decía: “¡Qué bonita letra!” y eso se repetía cada vez que escribía mi nombre y la lista pasaba de mano en mano.
En alguna ocasión alcancé a oír la misma voz diciéndole a otras personas, antes de que yo comenzara a escribir, que estuvieran atentos a cómo escribía. Me pareció muy curioso que esa voz les decía a todos que mi letra era bonita…¡menos a mi!

Una mañana,
después de la clase, yo salí rápido para regresar a casa, y de pronto, allí
estaba: ¡Una chica con una sonrisa
indescriptible! Me dijo que había visto
mi letra y que tenía curiosidad por saber cómo había aprendido a escribir de
esa manera. Le conté de mi proceso autodidacta para aprender el arte de la
caligrafía, y después nos despedimos. Al
seguirla viendo después en las diversas actividades de la Iglesia, comprendí
que el Señor me estaba indicando algo especial. Supe que su nombre era Gisell,
y que estaba estudiando contaduría pública. Entonces decidí investigar un poco
acerca de su carrera, y escribí un cuestionario a mano con conceptos que los
contadores conocen muy bien.
La siguiente vez que la vi, le pedí ayuda para contestar el cuestionario, pero la última pregunta era especial: Era una invitación para ir a tomar un helado. Ella dijo que sí, y ese día le hice una tarjeta especial con una elegante caligrafía, y tengo razones para estar seguro de que le gustó muchísimo. A partir de allí, comenzó una linda amistad, que culminó en el Templo cuando Giselle se convirtió en mi compañera eterna. Aún me sigue emocionando mucho escribir lo que siento por mi amada esposa.

“A primera vista me parecía un joven muy reservado y muy selctivo
también, pero al ver su caligrafía, en primer lugar me pareció hermoso saber
que en estos tiempos aún existan personas que se preocupan por detalles
aparentemente pequeños pero sumamente valiosos como es escribir en una forma
tan bella, y en
segundo lugar,
pude observar que era un joven cumplido, creativo, limpio, que deseaba estar en
las cosas de Dios”.
El Señor preparó la via. Una semana antes de casarnos, mientras cumplía con las responsabilidades de mi llamamiento, conocí a la persona que me daría el empleo que ahora disfruto y que me permite seguir estudiando. Se necesita fe para creer que es posible y valor para tomar la decisión correcta.

Jovany y Gisell
son padres de unos bellos gemelos varones que nacieron en enero pasado. Él
refiere que su letra cuidadosa y hermosa plasmada en cualquier parte donde
escribe invariablemente produce un impacto positivo en quienes lo conocen.
Incluyendo, por supuesto, las personas que le han dado oportunidades de
trabajo. Al ver su cuaderno de apuntes, inmediatamente han tenido una impresión
muy favorable de él, lo cual le ha abierto las puertas de las posibilidades
donde quiera que ha ido. Y con toda certeza, lo mejor aún está por venir.
My name is
Jovany. This is the story of the way a special talent I developed helped me
find the love of my life, and has been a significant advantage for me in my
profesional life. This story begins when I returned home after completing a
full time misión, determined to study, finish a career and get a good job, to
then get married and be sealed forever to a wonderful daughter of God.
But God had
different plans for me, because things didn’t follow that order precisely.
During my first classes at Institute I didn’t know any of my classmates, but
each time they passed the attendance list and I’d write my name, I’d hear a
female voice that would say: “What a beautiful
handwriting!”, and it would repeat each time I’d write my name while the
list passed hand to hand. In one occasion, before I wrote my name, I heard
that same voice telling other people to pay attention to my handwriting when I
started . It was funny to me because that voice would tell everyone that my
writing was beautiful… except me!
One morning,
after class, I got out of the classroom quickly to go back home, and suddenly,
there she was: A girl with an undescribable smile! She told me she had seen my
writing and that she was curious to know how I had learned to write that way. I
told her about my self-learning process to learn the art of calligraphy, and
then we said goodbye. After looking at her during many activities in the
Church, I understood that the Lord was indicating something special. I learned
that her name was Gisell, and she was studying Public Accounting. So I decided
to study a little about her career, and I hand wrote a quiz with concepts that
Accountants know very well. The next time I saw her, I asked her help to answer
the quiz, but the last question was special: It was an invitation to go for an
ice-cream. She said yes, and that day I made her a special card with an elegant
calligraphy, and I have reasons to be sure that she really loved it. From that
time, we started a beautiful friendship, that culminated at the Temple when
Gisell became my eternal companion. I still get excited when I write what I
feel for my beloved wife.
She says about
her first impression of me: “At first sight he looked like a very shy guy, and
very selective too, but when looking at his calligraphy, in the first place I
thought it was great that nowadays there are people who still care about
seemingly small yet so important details such as writting in such beautiful
way, and in the second place, I could notice he was a responsible, creative and
clean guy who was mindful about the things of God.” The Lord prepared the way.
One week before we got married, while I was fulfilling the responsibilities of
my calling, I met the person who gave me the job I now enjoy, which permits me
to keep studying. We need faith to believe it is possible, and courage to make
the right decision.
Jovany and
Gisell are parents of a beautiful pair of male twins who were born the last
January. He mentions thats his neat and
gorgeous handwriting inevitably produces a positive impact in the people who
know him. Including, of course, the people who have given him job oportunities.
When looking at his notebook, they
immediatly have a very favorable impression of him, which has opened him the
doors of possibilities wherever he has gone to. And certainly, the best is yet
to come.
